Morra is a simple and very popular finger counting game enjoyed by people around the world. It was invented a long time ago but still played in the playgrounds of schools in China, Iraq, Egypt, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Morocco, Spain and Syria! Morra is great for learning to add really quickly.
To play:
Two players stand face to face, each holding out a clenched fist
On the count of 3 each player holds out as many fingers as they choose and shouts out a number (any number). The player could, for instance, hold out 3 fingers but shout out "7!"
If the number called is the same as the total amount of fingers (the other player would have had to hold out 4 fingers i.e. your 3 and his 4 to make "7!") you score a point.
The winner is the player who gets to 7 points the quickest
